FAQs

A dermal filler is a solution that is injected into the skin to relax the appearance of wrinkles and lines. The filler solution is commonly composed hyaluronic acid, which is already present in the skin, however diminishes as we age. When injected, the filler smooths and expands the surface of the skin, making it look more youthful. We use dermal fillers in our practice to balance and rejuvenate the facial features.

If this is your first time visiting us, please plan to take out at least 60-90 minutes for your visit. We really take our time in doing an in-depth consultation to give you all the possible outcomes for you take make an informed decision. The actual treatment time varies depending on areas being treated.

Every client has unique aesthetic expectations and facial anatomy that we assess. Our goal is is to help provide the medical expertise and realistic expectations to achieve your desired outcomes. This is best discussed during the consultation!

You may experience mild swelling and bruising post-injection for about 2 weeks. It is best to schedule dermal fillers 2 weeks prior to an important event.

We do not want you leaving our office thinking you look different. We want you to look in the mirror and think, "Wow I look refreshed and awake." That is our goal. If done strategically and conservatively, dermal fillers will not make you look fake or overfilled.

Please discuss this with us when scheduling an appointment. If the filler has migrated or is lumpy/bumpy, it will need to be dissolved.

If this is your first time visiting us, please plan to take out 45-60 minutes for your visit. An in-depth consultation is done prior to your treatment. The actual treatment takes about 15-20 minutes.

You will typically see results kick in within 3-7 days. Full effects will occur in 14 days of treatment.

There is no downtime with neurotoxins, however you will want to ensure you do not lay down or get a massage 4-6 hours after treatment. You should also avoid exercise for 24 hours post treatment.

The results usually last for about 3-4 months.
